After calls to repeal all vaccine mandates in Florida, the State Department of Health is meeting to discuss changing requirements in public schools. Infectious Disease specialist Dr Aileen Marty says these decisions cannot be politicized. Currently, Florida requires children entering a public school in kindergarten through 12th grade to have at least four doses of the TDAP vaccine which protects against tetanus and whooping cough. But parents can opt out citing religious exemptions.
