Marking the celebration of Three Kings Day, or in Christianity, the Epiphany, the city of Miami is ready to party down a stretch of Southwest 8th Street in Little Havana.
Three Kings Day (on Jan. 6th) commemorates the arrival of the Magi, the Three Wise Men: Melchior, Caspar (or Gaspar), and Balthazar (or Balthasar),when they traveled to bring gifts to the newborn Messiah Jesus.... marking the 12th day and final day of the Christmas season. In the Greek Orthodox Church, the Epiphany marks Jesus' baptism, the moment the heavens opened, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove, and God's voice declared Him His Son.
Celebrated globally, especially in Spanish and European cultures, traditions include parades with costumed kings, sharing special cakes like el Roscón de Reyes, and children receiving gifts.
Miami's annual Three Kings Parade is Sunday, January 11th, 2026, along Southwest 8th Street between 27th and 17th Avenues.
