CEO's You Should Know: Rita Case (Rick Case Automotive Group)

During Women’s History Month, we highlight Rita Case, President, CEO, and Owner of The Rick Case Automotive Group—the nation’s largest retail auto group owned and operated by a woman.

Rita grew up in the automotive world. Her parents became the first Honda car dealer in the U.S. in 1968, where she worked throughout her childhood. After graduating from the University of California, she returned to the family dealership determined to demonstrate that women could lead in the car business. While managing the store, she met Rick Case at a Honda meeting in 1977; they married in 1980 and built the Rick Case Automotive Group together.

Rita’s leadership has earned widespread national recognition, including TIME Dealer of the Year (2024), USA Today’s National Dealer of the Year, and Automotive News Outstanding Women in the Auto Industry. She has also been honored for her business success with the Horatio Alger Award, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and induction into Nova Southeastern University’s H. Wayne Huizenga Entrepreneur Hall of Fame.

A dedicated philanthropist, Rita focuses on supporting youth, education, and community health. To date, she and the organization have helped raise over $125 million for South Florida nonprofits.

During Women’s History Month, Rita Case stands as a powerful example of leadership, perseverance, and purpose-driven success. Her legacy continues to inspire women in business and future generations seeking to reshape industries through innovation and heart.
