Solid Waste Authority: Storm Debris Being Picked Up

If there are still piles of vegetation in your neighborhood, and your yard, the folks at the Solid Waste Authority say trucks have been out since Thursday, picking those up, but it's going to take a few months to get all of it around Palm Beach County.

The SWA estimates on the low end that 750,000 cubic yards of storm debris needed to picked up throughout the county immediately after Irma.  That work is underway and continued through the weekend.

Residents are asked to separate trash from storm debris.  Everything should be in its own pile, including vegetation and construction storm debris.

Smaller vegetation placed in garbage bags will be picked up with the trash.
