We woke up this morning to learn new sad details about the pedestrian bridge collapse in Miami-Dade county. The death toll rose overnight from 4 to 6 and Miami-Dade Police officials say they have taken over for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue because it has gone from rescue mode to recovery mode. That means, they don’t expect to find any more survivors underneath the concrete that fell on top of at least eight cars yesterday. Nine people were rushed to the hospital immediately after the new bridge span collapsed, two of them were in critical condition.
